Brand new car stolen in Proserpine

A BRAND new grey coloured 2017 model Ford GT Mustang (no registration plates) was stolen from a business in Main St Proserpine yesterday afternoon.

In a five minute window between 4:50pm and 4:55pm the car was taken whilst multiple cars were in the process of being moved by staff for "end of day” storing.

During this time the offender in this matter has gained possession of the car keys and used them to steal this car.

Police are urging anyone who has information relating to the stolen cars current whereabouts to contact police via Policelink on 131 444.

Senior constable Steve Smith warns residents not to approach or attempt to intercept the car by themselves.

"We encourage residents to share this image and information through social media forums,” he said.
