FEW things unite people from all walks of life like the coming Wintermoon Festival.

Set in a secluded Cameron's Pocket property between Mackay and Proserpine, the festival will boast some of the best world music performers from Australia, including the renowned Bushwackers band.

Local talent, including Sun Salute, will also showcase illuminating beats across three strategically positioned stages.

The first-class musical entertainment isn't all that's on offer, with a variety of colourful market stalls, food stalls, kid activities, and craft and music workshops across the campsite.

No one could forget the iconic St Helens Creek swimming hole which provides guests and performers alike a chance to cool down after a fun-filled day on site.

Wintermoon is notable for its family appeal and range of options for all ages.

The festival has also won a ringing endorsement from Melbourne based folk legend Bruce Watson.

"Wintermoon punches above its weight in terms of the calibre and profile of national acts,” Watson said.

Wintermoon co-organiser Chris Cann said time was running out to secure camping tickets for the festival, which runs from April 28 to May 1.
