Proserpine police search warrants lead to arrests

OVER the past week Proserpine police have arrested four people after executing a number of search warrants across the township.

About 10am last Wednesday a 24-year-old Proserpine female was found with drug utensils after a search of her Robert St unit.

The woman accepted a drug diversionary program.

A 50-year-old Proserpine man will appear in Proserpine Magistrates Court after police found marijuana, drug utensils and stolen property in a Fuljames St unit at 1pm the same day.

He will appear in court on July 16.

During a search of a Florance St address at 11am last Thursday, police located a 23-year-old Proserpine male with drug utensils.

The man will face court on July 23.

Marijuana, methamphetamine and drug utensils were seized during a raid on a Conway Rd address at 12.45pm the same day when Proserpine police charged a 22-yearold Proserpine woman.

A 61-year-old man was also charged in relation to possessing ammunition without a firearm licence.

Both will appear in Proserpine Magistrates Court on July 23.

Police also issued a warning to residents to be vigilant this holiday period as a number of break-and-enters had been reported in Proserpine's new estate over the night of July 3-4 targeting wallets and purses by entering unlocked homes and unlocked vehicles.

Anyone who may have seen anything overnight is encouraged to contact Proserpine Police.
