Second shark in three days at Bondi

BONDI Beach has been closed this afternoon after a shark was spotted swimming nearby.

Bondi Lifeguards tweeted about the sighting after a person on a jet ski saw the animal.

Only three days ago, the beach was closed for a few hours due to a bull shark sighting.

Swimmers have been cleared from the water and a helicopter is surveying the water.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported the shark alarm sounded at 2.40pm and there were 1500 people at the popular Sydney beach.
