Students raise more than $21,000 for school playground

STUDENTS at St Catherine's Catholic College have raised more than $21,000 for new playground equipment after participating in a Colour Run in August.

About 380 primary students laced up their runners and took to the track for a school fun-run with support from their families, local community members and the local fire brigade creating an buzz around the school grounds.

St Cath's deputy principal lower primary Dianne Stevens said the students' commitment to the fun-run was second to none.

"Our students are very excited about the money they helped raise for new playground equipment. They thoroughly enjoyed participating in the College fun-run alongside their peers as they cheered each other on,” Ms Stevens said.

"It was wonderful to see all our Primary students come together to support each other in their efforts. Many happy and colourful faces went home that day!”
