10.30PM SUNDAY: Residents living near the home where three people are found dead hear three gunshots. They assume the shots come from hunters in the area.

6.45PM MONDAY: A family member enters the home through a window. She calls police to alert them to the gruesome scene.

7.20PM: Police have their weapons drawn as they enter the home. They find Miss Sharpley dead in the bathroom. Her son Jackson and her father are found dead in the same bedroom.

7.45PM: Biddeston is in police lock down. Scenes of crime officers comb through the house and surrounding yards.

10.30PM: Detective Inspector Dave Isherwood addresses media outside the Biddeston home. He reveals the trio could have been dead for up to a day. He refuses to rule out the involvement of a fourth person.

TUESDAY 6AM: Scientific and scenes of crimes officers continue to conduct investigations at the home, which has been declared a crime scene. An Investigation Centre has been established at Toowoomba Police Station.

7.30AM: Police release the ages of the victims - a 52-year-old man, his 27-year-old daughter and her seven-year-old son. They reveal the investigation is looking into a possible murder-suicide.

8.30AM: Shocking information emerges that the female victim was heavily pregnant. Police say her son was found in his bed with no obvious injuries.

9AM: Grief counsellors arrive at Biddeston State School where the young boy was a student.

1PM: Education Queensland releases a statement saying the Biddeston school community was feeling a "deep sense of sadness and shock".

1.30PM: Family, friends and Biddeston residents deliver floral tributes to the home. Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio passes on his thoughts and condolences to everyone affected by the tragedy.

2PM: State Opposition leader Lawrence Springborg offers his condolences.

3PM: The identity of the victims, Derek Sharpley, 52, Kris-Deann Sharpley, 27, and her son Jackson, 7 - is reported.
