Toowoomba man celebrates million-dollar lotto win

A TOOWOOMBA man will be purchasing real estate in 2015 after winning a first division prize worth more than $2.7 million in Saturday Gold Lotto's $30 million Megadraw.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he discovered he'd won a share in division one when he checked his entry after the draw.

"I've been doubting my first division win since Saturday night!  Now that you've confirmed it, I can let myself believe that I'm a winner!" the man exclaimed.

"I actually had a small win in Thursday's Powerball draw and I decided to use the money to buy a 50-game QuickPick in the Megadraw!

"The first thing I want to do with my Megadraw windfall is pay off my mortgage.  Then I'd like to buy another property."

The winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased online via Tatts.com.
